She Walks!

Today, June 19th, Marissa made her first trek, albeit only a few steps. We were lucky enough to catch it on video as she walked across the living room floor. Always motivated by food, Marissa took her first few steps toward Bria's supper, and then twice walked to Bria who was holding her milk cup.

It won't be long now until she's off and running we're sure!

Yay Rissa!! We're so proud!

Father's Day at the Beach

Josh wanted to go to the beach for Father's Day. It was the first time that either of the girls had been to the beach. Both of them absolutely loved it!

Josh and Bria spent most of the afternoon building sand castles. They were both very intense about it.

Rissa loved playing in sand for the first time! She laughed hysterically and had a great time crawling around. To our surprise, she never tried to eat the sand, although she did taste a few sticks.

After playing on the beach, we headed to the pier for a while to see the big ship. Bria played on the playground and Rissa had a swing, then we headed out for something to eat. We stopped at the Sky Ranch Drive-In where Josh remembers stopping for supper as a kid after a day at the beach.

We all had so much fun, and Josh says it was the best Father's Day ever!
